GP Partner

Dr Lindsay Mackenzie (female)

The team is led by the Senior Partner who is responsible to NHS England (NHSE) and the Bedfordshire Luton & Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board, (BLMKICB), for the clinical management of the surgery, ensuring that high standards of staff competency are maintained. Lindsay qualified from St Thomas’ Hospital in London in 1990. She then went on to train as GP in Milton Keynes and has worked as a GP in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire ever since. Lindsay is very interested in supporting alternative approaches to medication and treatment including complementary therapies. Her special interests are in all aspects of women’s health, minor surgery, and aesthetics.

GP Partner

Dr Ghulam Shabir (male)

Dr Ghulam Shabir has recently joined as a Partner. Dr Shabir trained as a GP in Bedford, and qualified in 2015. Before qualifying, he worked for about 10 years as an emergency medicine doctor. He is the practice’s clinical lead for GPs, and also, trains qualified Doctors to become competent GPs. He has a special interest in minor surgery, joint injections and dermatology.

GP Partner

Dr Hetul Shah (male)

Dr Hetul Shah joined the practice as a GP Partner in July 2025.

He graduated from Imperial College London Medical School and completed his hospital and GP training before qualifying as a GP in 2013.

Dr Shah has held senior roles within both Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and was previously a GP Partner in North London before relocating to Bedfordshire.

He is an experienced GP Trainer and Mentor, supporting both trainee and qualified GPs in their professional development. Clinically, he enjoys the full breadth of general practice, with particular interests in diabetes, mental health, and cardiovascular disease. He is also trained in joint injections.

Practice Business Partner

Richie Short


The Practice Business Partner is responsible for all the non-clinical and administrative functions to ensure the smooth running of the practice. In addition, Richie is responsible for the advanced IT, communications and technical systems employed at the practice to support the day-to-day operations and patient contact. In designing and maintaining these systems Richie draws upon his previous experience where he was running the IT systems for financial institutions in the City of London.

GP Trainees

Our practice is a GP training practice.
GP trainees are qualified doctors who are gaining further experience in General Practice.

They are supported and supervised by experienced GPs at all times.
Depending on their stage of training, they may see patients on their own or with a GP.

Other GPs and specialist doctors will join the team over time, as well as visiting specialists.

Our specialist clinicians can see patients with undiagnosed medical conditions and make treatment decisions, including offering necessary investigations, making referrals and prescribing medications.

Nurses

Appointments are available for baby immunisations, diet advice, wound care, contraception and pill checks, smears, removal of sutures, NHS travel vaccinations and assisting with minor surgery. Our specialist nurses will also offer consultations for asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension monitoring and NHS Health Checks.

Pharmacy Team

Our long-term conditions and medicines monitoring is overseen by our Senior Clinical Pharmacist, Sehrush with the support of Sarah and Aden, our Pharmacy Technician. The team has set up a system of annual Long Term Condition reviews to ensure your medications are regularly monitored. Sehrush is assisted, where appropriate, but other visiting professionals Lisa NHSI team for more complex cases. Sehrush leads in hypertension and lipid management.
